Lawrence is a graduate of The Juilliard School and New England Conservatory (NEC), where he studied with Carol Rodland and Marcus Thompson. During his studies at NEC, his quartet was named the NEC Honors Quartet for the 2019-2020 academic year. Now in Hong Kong, Lawrence aims to promote chamber music and has organized the first NEC alumni chamber music concert in Hong Kong in 2023.
