Currently studying for her Graduate Diploma at the New England Conservatory (NEC) with Donald Weilerstein, Yu was concertmaster at the NEC Philharmonia, NEC chamber orchestra and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) Orchestra. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the HKAPA, where she studied with Michael Ma. In summer of 2024, she joined the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop as a Young Artist Fellow.
